3 Exciting Changes Coming To UK Theme Parks For 2021!

As Im sat here staring out the window, while pondering on what the UK Theme Park Season could have in store.... Im filled with a sense of optimism...

With developments of the vaccine coming along, plans on track.... (Personally) I think a solid Theme Park season is well within the realms of possibility.

However this is a Theme Park blog and we are not here to talk Covid... far from it actually.

So today I wanted to share my thoughts on what I think we could see change coming into the 2021 season!

( please remember, these are just my own personal thoughts , not everyone will agree and that's ok! It's the best part about being in the coaster community.... Discussion! I would love to know your own thoughts! Get involved on the insta @coastersamblog)

So what could we see develop and change over the 2021 Uk Theme Park Season then?

Well I wanted to break it down into 3 main points...

Extended Opening / Operating Dates.

OK, we did see this a little in 2020, but I think it will truly come into play in 2021!

With business getting off to a slow start last year, parks were struggling and chewing at the bit to open.

We started to see more and more parks offer up extra dates added to their operating calendar more then ever before.

While this was to make up for any time lost and of course to get as much footfall through the gates as possible... It was a win for enthusiasts everywhere, more days to ride coasters and get our kicks, before the long close season.

I would not be surprised if we saw the same for this season, more days open leads to the possibility of more business.

This year coming up, there will be such a demand to get out and have fun after the rollercoaster we have all had!

Some New Investment.

While this is nothing new on the news front, it is exciting to see that we will have quite a few bits to look forward to moving into the 2021 season.

With the like of the David Walliams Area at Alton Towers,  Croc Drop at Chessington, Tornado Springs at Paultons just to name a few!

Yes these attractions have been known about for a while, but it will still be great to finally get to experience them in all their glory and add something fresh to the parks!

A Stronger Focus On Events.

This one I am excited for! ( you know me, I LOVE entertainment!!!)

If there was one thing that 2020 did so well, was the amount of new seasonal events we saw throughout the year!

They offered new entertainment, food and fun! It was clear that the response was fantastic across the entire community!

I honestly think after the successes of a number of events we will see this come into play this year and I personally can't wait!

It really felt like we were getting slightly towards a similar calendar to that of the Orlando parks, with new events opening almost all year round!

Fantastic!

Wrap Up

So there are just a few things to look forward to in 2021 !

What do you think will happen this season? What are you looking forward to ?
