The Exciting Future Of Kentucky Kingdom!
This has been in the news a little recently and so I wanted to share my own thoughts on what could behold the wonderful and Iconic park!
Having had a couple of owners in the past and with a certain future on its hands... what could we expect to see coming to this park in the future??
Well, Let's discuss some thoughts...
( Please remember as always these are just my own personal views and opinions. Not everyone will agree and that is ok! Please do share your thoughts on the Insta: @coastersamblog, or find us on Youtube: Coaster Sam Blog!)
Ok, let's go!
Background
So just to give a little background on the park, just in case you have never come across it before... It is a Theme Park and water park found Louiseville, Kentucky!
Home to a number of great attractions and coasters, including an RMC and of course... Thunder Run!
However, over the years, the park hasn't had the best of luck!
Having previously being owned by Six Flags, the park was left with no owner... Until very recently!
The Gurus of the Herschend Family Entertainment... The same owners of Dollywood and Silver Dollar City, have come to the rescue and are planning to open the park by Mid May 2021!
Future Changes
Ok, here is where this gets exciting!
We know from their previous parks and themed entertainment offerings, Herschend has a strong focus on themeing and the environment throughout all of their parks!
Now if one thing is slightly lacking ( At the moment, at least) at KK... It is just that Themeing...
I truly think the company will change this from an amusement park, to more of a theme park by enhancing the environment.
What the theme could be... well that will remain a mystery, but with a strong weather and nautical theme already found within the water park, could this be extended into the park in parts?
We will have to wait and see!
Future Additions
Now, I will admit... this is very open...
But with a world of opportunities comes some really exciting possibilities!
The park is already home to some awesome coasters, with some hard-hitting manufacturers already having a place in the park...
What I have noticed is the lack of any really modern or major flats...
I think in terms of a medium investment, just to initially get the ball rolling a really strong flat could be an option here for the time being...
The coasters, of course, will come, I'm sure in time and when they do I have no doubt they will follow in suit to the other existing parks within their roster and be outstanding!
Wrap Up
So there we go, just a few thoughts on the future of KK!
what do you think could be heading to the park in the future? What would you like to see?
