Uniform Maina! - Old Park Uniform Unites A Nation Of Enthusiasts

One trend that has taken off in the last few months is parks selling their old staff uniform!  

I wanted to quickly comment on this, my thoughts and what the future could hold! 

( as always please remember these are just my thoughts, not everyone will agree and that is ok! In fact I would love to know your views! Please do get in touch on the Insta: @coastersamblog ) 

So what has been selling and why?! Will we see this trend continue? 

Uniting With Uniform 

Yes, most recently you can't go very long on any Alton Towers page or feed without someone talking about some awesome uniform they have just bought... 

Rightly so too! 

It is amazing! Having such a unique piece of memorabilia, from the park's former years! 

Pieces from Ug Land and 90's Jackets... all the way through to the more recent Smiler Uniform! 

It's such a great way for the park to raise money for charity and engage with some hardcore fans! 

Will We See This In Other Parks... 

My hope and prediction is .... YES! 

I can only imagine with the success of Alton Towers selling some old uniform... other Merlin Parks will follow! 

It's clear that it is not only Alton Towers that has a cult following... Other Parks such as Thorpe Park and Chessington also have such a standing with fans too! 

Could you imagine a retro piece of uniform from the rangers club? Or how about a piece from Mr Monkeys Banana Ride?! 

It's the selling of nostalgia that is the real ticket here. The thrill punters get when re-living moments of their beloved childhood through ownership of the uniform and therefore cementing them to the brand. 

It's clever, creative and for charity means I fully support it!
