Magnificent Manta: The unique Intamin coaster thats swooping through the UAE.

Just when you think, Yas Island could not get any better, another world-class coaster is added to their line-up of Theme Parks and Attractions.

It comes as no surprise that this is an Intamin, due to Miral's long-standing relationship with the manufacturer.

In this case, we are going to do a small hop skip, and jump away from the ever-famous Ferrari World, to the brand-new Seaworld Park! To talk about Manta, Seaworld's newest coaster, this family thrill ride packs some great forces and unstoppable elements.

Im going to break down the ride experience as a whole and let you know my thoughts.

( Please Remember as always these are just my own personal thoughts and opinions, not everyone will agree and that's ok! It's the best part about being in the coaster community, please do share your own thoughts on our socials INSTA: @coastersamblog YOUTUBE: Coaster Sam Blog)

Theming and Queue Line Experience

One thing is for sure, Seaworld, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, have not spared any expense in the theming.

Surrounded by the ever-glowing and florescent coral pieces filling the area of the Shipwreck area of the park, you can find the understated entrance to this coaster.

Using a similar font and branding as the Manta flying coaster in Orlando Park, fans will head under the signage and enter the relaxing, dark, and inviting queue line.

With an impressive lighting package throughout, the line creates a feeling of moving within the depths of the ocean.

This creates a feeling of anticipation and mystery surrounding the coaster.

As we continue to move further down the queue line we are introduced via pre-show media to a research professor, who has built his very own manta ray robot device.

It's here that the guests are brought into the storyline and world of the coaster, as we (the guest) are going to ride the manta and help his experiment come to life.

Continuing down the line, moving closer to the station, we enter a shipwreck underwater, it's here that we see the expense and magnitude of the craftsmanship gone into the theming of the station.

As surrounding the air gates truly is a shipwreck in which the coaster dispatches and offloads.

One thing has got to be said, Seaworld really cared about the entire ride experience and this queue line is nothing short of stunning.

Let's not even get into the swooping melodic score caressing you into a false sense of security before we launch off!

It is really beautiful!

My only concern would be, the ride itself is tucked away in the corner of the park, without a lot of signage or clarity as to where the coaster is. In my opinion, this coaster deserves more noise and grandeur for the E-Ticket attraction that it clearly is.

The Coaster Experience

Let's move on to the coaster itself.

As aforementioned, this is an Intamin, which leads to comfortable trains, punchy launches and some awesome elements.

This is a multi-launching family thrill coaster, with an impressive out-and-back layout.

The initial launch sends you flying out the big blue box, not so much immediate force here, but enough to gather speed for the elements ahead.

We enter a number of diving air-time hills and through some ever-impressive head chopper elements.

Throughout there are enough inversions to thrill any teenager or adult, but not too much to put off any younger riders.

The stand-out moment for me on this coaster is the final of 3 launches, packing the most amount of force, before hitting some ejector airtime with a mini top-hat, and some extreme hangtime on an extended inversion ( similar to that of velocicoaster at IOA).

The coaster experience itself is very long almost at 2 and a half mins for the entire ride experience.

WRAP UP:

This coaster hits the market perfectly and is a great demonstration of a family coaster that can bridge the gap between thrill and extreme.

This complements the already existing portfolio on Yas Island and the coasters already here.

Well Done Seaworld, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi!
