Road Trippin: European Theme Parks In One Day!

Forget Making the trip across the UK to visit your next theme park. Here are some options for theme parks you can visit in Europe!

The best part about this is that, by using the Eurotunnel, most of these parks can be done in just one day.

Which means you can be back home in time for tea! .....  ( milage may vary )

While these may not be the most world record beating parks... I still think they would make a fab day out and offer something slightly different to the usual parks in the UK.

So I wanted to briefly highlight 3 parks that I think are worth the visit!

(as usual, please remember these are just my own thoughts, not everyone will agree and thats the best part! We all have our own Ideas, which makes being a part of the enthusiast community amazing)

So let's do this!

3. Parc Bagatelle

This park is a little over an hour from the Terminal in Calais.

While there isn't so much for an enthusiast at the park, it is still home to some stunning landscaping and a good couple of attractions to experience.

One to highlight is of course the Vekoma boomerang!

Its a bumpy classic but never the less is a must do when visiting this wonderful park!

2. Bellewaerde

Bellewaerde is in Belgium and is a fairly short  hour and a half away from the terminal!

This park is famous for it's outstanding theming of it's attractions and areas, mostly aimed at the family market, the park excels with some great quality coasters, water rides and flats!

one attraction that everyone will immediately recognise is El Volador.

a unique flat, that come shining over the fortress, where the also wonderful Huracan family coaster is located. Towering high in the sky, you simply have got to give the flat and the coaster a try!

There is the first ever operating Boomerang here, simply named 'Boomerang' you will want to get this credit for the bragging rights!

Give this park a visit, you won't be disappointed!

1. Plopsaland De Panne

Finally on my list is the closest park and perhaps the best in the list.

Just a short 30 mins drive from the Euro-tunnel terminal is this wonderful park.

There are some great attractions and coasters here!

Some stand out attractions here are Heidi The Ride. A rioting GCI woody that packs a punch and is great fun.

Many enthusiasts won't been able to finish a sentence, when talking about the park, without someone mentioning Anubis: The Ride, a Gerstlauer launch coaster.

With its twisting track, speeds of up to 55 mph and 3 inversions, this coaster just adds to the reason to visit and has been ( to some ) a pivotal attraction to falling in love with Gerstlauer!

Along with the coasters, there are water rides, dark rides and some firm family favourites...

All just 30 mins away for the terminal!

Wrap Up

All the parks mentioned are easily accessible to the UK,

I know that those living in other parts of the country, may have to almost take a day to get down to the train terminal, but you get the general idea!

give these a go, try something different and go on an adventure for the day!

Have you been to these parks? what did you think?
