Watering Wonders: The Best Water Ride In The World?

When it comes to visiting Theme Parks, no trip is complete without a almost compulsory ride on the park's water based attractions.

There are so many out there, Log Flumes, Super Splash or even your more tame boat rides...

Some really stand out... others are almost instantly forgettable.

Today I wanted to talk about a water ride, which in my humble opinion, I believe to be one of the best in the world...

That ladies and gents is Chiapas at Phantasialand in Germany.

But let me give you my reasonings and please, see if you agree?

( Please remember, these are just my opinions, we all have different ones, which is the amazing thing about being a part of our community... Please share your own thoughts with us on our insta!)

It's Intense

Yep, there is just no denying it, This Intamin beast of water ride has it all!

With the steepest drop around of 53 degrees down ( Making it, the steepest drop on a flume ride, in the world) and it's speeds of almost 50 mph, it's a crazy crazy ride!

Oh... did I mention the whole attraction duration is over 6 mins long?!

The Journey

Ok while this section sounds like an overly expressive GCSE drama piece, it still hold true to the ride.

The journey you take on this attraction is so varied and vast making it so re-ridable.

The switch tracks, multiple direction changes dark ride and beautiful outside scenery all combined to make one outstanding log flume!

Theming and Story

This is one thing that Phantasialand does so well...

The theming not only on the ride itself, but in the surrounding area is stunning.

The attraction sits within the Mexican themed area of the park, while the ride itself is hidden within bridges and rock work, it all adds to the suspense for riders contemplating whether they should go on or not!

Throughout the attraction you are taken on a happy expedition through the temple and ruins, filled with music, joy and fun, it was quite refreshing to find an attraction based around lighter themes.. then the never ending darker themes of UK parks.

I don't think Ive gasped ... dramatically.... quite as much in my whole life, then I did in one day at Phantasialand!

Wrap Up:

What I am saying in short is... visit Phantasialand if you can and ride Chiapas!

Believe me, you won't want to stop riding it all day long!

Do You Agree? What do you think the best water ride in the world is?
